Collection for "Sole Clinic"
In partnership with Cincinnati Medical Volunteers and the Diocese of Southern Ohio, Christ Church Cathedral will hold a "Sole Clinic" on Maundy Thursday, April 17
, in the narthex from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will offer foot washing, foot exams and treatment, and new, clean socks to our neighbors who make their home out on the streets. We need donations of new athletic socks (not used), volunteers to wash feet and greet guests, and medically trained volunteers to assist the medical team.
A donation box is located at the church reception desk for sock donations. If you wish to be included in this ministry, please sign up at the front desk or contact Kathy Noe.
Each year, we contribute time, energy and dollars for programs that serve those in need in our community and beyond. These programs are ones we run ourselves, such as our 5000 Club food ministry or our Plumb Line rental assistance ministry, or ones run by area agencies.
Our primary focus is on (1) services for disadvantaged and abused children and youth; (2) services that meet basic human needs, health care and housing; (3) services to address the needs found within our own neighborhood; and (4) services that promote reconciliation, social justice and advocacy.
Financial Support from the Cathedral
We give thousands of dollars in outreach grants to various organizations each year. We also give $500 Parishioner Volunteer Grants to organizations at which our members volunteer.

There are two periods each year when we process grant requests:
Requests accepted: Beginning of February through end of March
Grant Processing: April/May
Grant Recommendations to Vestry: June
Grant Awards: June
Requests accepted: Beginning of July through end of August
Grant Processing: September/October
Grant Recommendations to Vestry: November
Grant Awards: November
If we receive a request outside of one of the windows, we move it to the next window. For example, if a request came to us in April, it would be considered during the second period.
It is highly preferred that the application and supporting documents be submitted electronically via e-mail because it is easier to distribute to the committee members for reviewing.
