Center of Reconciliation

" ... forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you." -Mark 11:25

We as a cathedral are committed to the work of reconciliation. Dean James Diamond, working with members of the congregation, established a Center of Reconciliation early in his tenure. This led to several racial reconciliation efforts in Cincinnati, including an initiative to lower institutional barriers that prevent full participation of members of our minority communities in the social, economic and political life of the city.

A Reconciliation Ministries team worked diligently to help the congregation live out the spirit of reconciliation through intentional and focused works. They published a pamphlet, We Are All One, as a guide for healthy group interactions, and a booklet of prayers for forgiveness. To order a copy of We Are One, click here. Today much of our reconciliation efforts are focused on social justice. We look to heal the brokenness of relationships between peoples by working to address inequities with society. Current efforts include looking at such issues as affordable housing.

Our reconciliation work is rooted in the work of the Community of the Cross of Nails.
