Your Help Needed

We have various ministries that serve our membership. You can help. Check out these opportunities!

Foyer Groups Coordinator

Are you an organizer?
Love to bring people together?
Have a desire to serve but don't want to commit for the rest of your life?
Then we have an opportunity for you! (It won't take much time.)
The foyer groups are looking for a coordinator. If you're interested in doing this starting in September or getting more information, contact Michael Bootes or Marjorie Fox.

The Ministry of Flowers

Our Flower Guild is currently seeking both gardeners and flower arrangers to assist in its work. If you have a cutting garden and would like to provide flowers for the cathedral on the third Sundays of June through September, guild members would enjoy arranging them for you. This is a new summer program, and depending on the number and variety of flowers donated, arrangements could be placed at the Fourth Street entrance, in the prayer corner or in the Ascension Chapel.

In addition, the guild is forming a group of master gardeners to help beautify and maintain the cloister (the Columbarium area). The guild seeks guidance in the selection of flowering plants appropriate for "hot spots," along with the proper watering and maintenance requirements.

The Flower Guild is also seeking members to help create the flower arrangements for Sunday and other special services. The time commitment is three hours on a Saturday morning every 4 to 6 weeks, in addition to the occasional workshop. Training will be provided.

To participate in any of these efforts, or for more information, contact Priscilla Dunn.

The Ministry of Hospitality

Are you known for your interesting hors d'oeuvres? Do you have a special dip that everyone raves about? Or do you enjoy setting a good table and welcoming your guests with pleasure? If so, you will feel at home with our congenial group of parishioners working in the Hospitality Guild. The guild, responsible for the morning receptions after Sunday services and other special occasions, would warmly welcome you as a member. To join, or for more information, contact Yvonne Schrotel or Jane Thompson.

Share a Ride

You can make a difference in someone's life by giving members who can't drive a ride to church. For more information and to volunteer your services, please contact Isabella Murphy.
