We will once again welcome the summer with food, fun and fellowship at the annual church picnic on Sunday, June 2, at 11:30 a.m. - immediately following the celebration of Youth Sunday. Join the celebration in the Bishop's Garden and spilling out beyond onto Sycamore Street, which will be closed for the occasion. Tables will be filled with the cookout essentials, served along with mouthwatering side dishes, as everyone anticipates our pie baking contest! This year there will be music, games, a pie tasting contest and a silent pie auction, so everyone has the chance to take home their favorite. Admission is a suggested $5 donation.

Pie Baking Contest & Silent Pie Auction

Each pie contestant must submit two pies, one for judging and one for the auction. Bidding will begin as soon as church is dismissed, as people are walking outside. Bidding will continue for 15 minutes after the pie contest winners have been announced. Winning pie duplicates will be identified. Bidding begins at $5 per pie and rises in $2 increments. Once the bidding is closed, winners may pay with cash or check and receive their pie!
