Cathedral Choir Auditions

2013-14 Church Program Year

We will be holding auditions for cathedral choristers for the 2013-2014 year Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2. (Auditions may also be scheduled by appointment outside this block of time. See below.) Choristers who share the cathedral's commitment to excellence, are willing and able to support its liturgical worship and serve as a significant presence in the Cincinnati arts community are encouraged to audition. The Cathedral Choir's primary responsibility is to sing at weekly Sunday services of Holy Eucharist, monthly services of Evensong and other major liturgical observances in the church year.

Positions are open for both paid and volunteer choristers. Stipends for paid choristers will be consistent with city standards. 

The cathedral is also building a roster of substitute choristers to serve as needed.

You will need to complete an information sheet, chant Psalm 93 and prepare William Byrd's Ave verum corpus for the audition. Please refer to the audition requirements for additional requirements. For more information and to schedule an audition, contact Stephan Casurella.
