About John Deaver
John A. Deaver has served Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, Kentucky, as director of music and organist since September 1980. He is a founder and frequent performer on the Midday Musical Menu luncheon concert series. He also serves as organist-choirmaster for the Convent of the Transfiguration in Glendale, Ohio.

He holds degrees, among them a doctorate, from Davidson College, Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University, and the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati. His teachers have included Roberta Gary, Arthur Rhea, Wilmer Hayden Welsh, and Carl Broman.

John is adjunct assistant professor of organ at the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati where he teaches organ repertoire. He is active in the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, where he has served as dean, and the Association of Anglican Musicians, where he has served as secretary and publicist. He is currently secretary of the Anglican Musicians Foundation.
