Strategic Planning Objective: We will strengthen our identity by exploring and enriching our spiritual growth, broadening our understanding of what it means to be part of this Cathedral community, and focusing our resources to serve the common good more effectively.
Resource Stewardship
This strategy focuses on how we understand and optimize the use of our resources (people, money and building) to pursue our priorities and accomplish our objectives by more efficient and transparent actions. A transparent process requires a robust communications plan. Effective communication builds connectivity and trust within the congregation, diocese and community. This strategy calls upon clergy, staff, congregants and volunteers to find better ways to be more efficient and effective and includes opportunities for personal and professional growth. All of the components promote transparency, which in turn can lead to increased participation in services and programs. This involvement may lead to commitment, which in turn leads to greater stewardship resulting in more resources to support our objectives.
Objective: We will work together to strengthen and utilize our financial, human and physical resources to ensure continued support of the Cathedral programs and initiatives.
We will work to achieve efficiency and transparency in budgeting and financial reporting.
We will work to broaden and ensure strong both external and internal communications, i.e., communications mailed, e-mailed, announced, advertised, etc., throughout our larger community as well as those communications among ourselves, parishioners, participants, volunteers, clergy and staff.
We will work to reestablish meaningful stewardship efforts so that we will have the resources to pursue our mission and objectives.
We will evaluate and reconfigure our existing committee structure to make it more effective and efficient.
We will encourage continuing education for clergy, lay staff and volunteers to strengthen their skills and effectiveness.
